Through the years, music has been a force that has unifying powers. These powers speak to the human emotion, allowing order to transcend disorder and chaos and bring diverse cultures together for the betterment of humanity. Embracing this belief, the Arkansas Chamber Singers Vocal/Choral Music Scholarship is established with a mission that will encourage and promote the art of choral music. It is expected that students will master the skills and acquire the knowledge that will lead to the highest quality of choral music performance in the state of Arkansas.
The Arkansas Chamber Singers Vocal/Choral Music Scholarship is available to any graduating high school senior. The student must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 and plan to major in vocal/choral music at an accredited four-year institution of higher education in Arkansas. The student applicant must also be enrolled in the choral music program (curriculum) at the high school in which he or she attends. The $2,000 music scholarship award will be paid directly to the student upon verification of college enrollment.
